My 2018 Blogging Achievements

My 2018 Blogging Achievements

If you are ever stuck in a creative rut I find it always helps to look back at what you have achieved over the past year to help motivate you again. Last year was probably one of my worst blogging wise. From January to June I was suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum so doing any work was impossible and then from June to December I had a baby to look after so time for blogging was at it’s minimum. I still achieved a few things I am proud of in that time though so wanted to document them on the blog.

Brand Collaborations

In 2018 I worked with 19 brands to create content on my blog and Instagram. Some of the most notable brands I worked with include Elizabeth Arden, Biore, The Gift Experience and Hunkemoller. I’m actually surprised by how many brands I worked with last year, I didn’t realise it was that many! For 2019 I’m hoping to double the figure now that I have more time to create the content I want.

Blog Traffic

In 2018 I managed to double my blog traffic from the previous year. I definitely owe this success to Tailwind. Having pins regularly scheduled for Pinterest has meant that my content is constantly being published to Pinterest and brings new viewers to my blog every day. I’d love to double my blog traffic numbers again by the end of this year. Maybe slightly ambitious but I’m going to try my best.

Affiliate Marketing

I launched a Facebook group for Bloggers to help them grow their affiliate marketing income. The group now has 275 members. The group is a little stagnant at the moment and I need to commit more time to grow it but I’m pretty proud of where I managed to get it to with the limited time I had.

Follower Growth

Across all social media platforms, I grew by 1,650 followers in 2018, this includes Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. I’m actually really pleased with this considering I put no effort into growing any of my accounts. I love that my growth has been organic and I will continue to let it grow organically this year.

Viral Pin

One of my most popular blog posts has now been pinned over 6,000 times on Pinterest. This has brought huge amounts of traffic to my blog. I’d love to replicate this pins success again for another post this year. I’ll be writing a post soon on how to use Tailwind to manage and automate your pinning and create a viral pin.

I’m pretty damn pleased with my blogs success this year considering I had every obstacle in my way preventing me from blogging. I’d love to hear what you achieved in 2018 that you are proud of.
