I haven’t visited Center Parcs since I was a child but last weekend I got to return as part of a Hen Party. Technically Hen parties aren’t allowed at Center Parcs but that didn’t stop us.
Hen Party Day #1
We arrived at the perfect time and were able to head straight to our lodge. We were in the Maple zone which is conveniently located very close to everything. The lodge style was the new 2 storey executive builds and it was very swish indeed. All 3 bedrooms had an en-suite and we even had an outdoor sauna! The downstairs kitchen, lounge and dining area was all open plan and very spacious. After we had unpacked everything from the car we headed to hire some bikes. No trip to Center Parcs is complete without butt ache from so much cycling. After collecting our bikes we went to explore. Unfortunately we got lost on our adventures and couldn’t find the way back to our lodge. We ended up cycling down and back up a very steep hill that was for cars only as we got so lost! On the first night we had planned a Buffet at our lodge along with some Hen Party games. I think we went a little OTT with the buffet as we had a lot of food left over!
Hen Party Day #2
On the second day we arranged for the Bride to Be to have a paddle boarding lesson on the lake. Myself and Becca opted to hire a pedalo and we became the photographers for the morning. The lake is absolutely stunning and it was great fun just pedaling around and taking some photos.
In the Afternoon we had High Tea at the Grande Cafe. I drank a lot of Prosecco!
After High Tea we headed for some drinks at Las Iguanas. In the evening we went for a meal at Bella Italia. The food portions were huge and we were all pleasantly surprised but still so full from High Tea. After our meal we headed back to the lodge and we ended up staying up until nearly 2am chatting!
Hen Party Day #3
On the third morning we headed to the Pancake house. I had pancakes with maple syrup and they were incredible!
In the afternoon we had some Spa treatments booked at the Aqua Sauna Spa. I opted for a facial and it was absolute bliss. Unfortunately 25 minutes definitely wasn’t long enough. After the Spa we headed over to the pool for a swim. The one thing we had all been looking forward to was the rapids. Sadly though this was closed due to ‘maintenance’ and we were all gutted! On our last evening we went for a meal at Huck’s Bar and Grill. This was definitely my favourite meal of the weekend and they made the best cocktails.
I had such a fab weekend and we are already planning a trip back there next year to stay in the Treehouses!
