I do love a good nude lipstick. To be honest I rarely buy any other colour now unless it’s a berry tone for Winter. I didn’t realise just how many nude lip colours I owned until I was having a clear out today. Decluttering is a chore but I was ruthless and just kept my absolute favourites. I thought I would share the ones I kept on the blog in case you’re in the market for the perfect nude lip colour.
Barry M Lip Kits
Barry M have recently released some Limited Editon lip kits to rival Kylie Cosmetics. The lip kits are exclusive to Superdrug and are available in 3 colours. In this post I have featured one of the shades I picked up in Pose Pink (doesn’t that sound familiar). It’s a gorgeous darker toned nude with just a touch of pink. I have found these Matte Me Up liquid lipsticks to be quite runny in formula. They can take a little while to dry but for that gorgeous colour it’s worth it.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
NYX have become a firm favourite of mine and every time I pop into Boots I pick up a new Soft Matte Lip Cream. They are a mere £5.50 each so it’s hard not to just pop them in my basket. I have about 6 shades from the range now but my all time favourite is the shade ‘London’. The colour is more of a brown nude and looks heavenly with the NYX mechanical lip pencil in ‘Nude’. I actually just finished that lip pencil and it’s on my list to repurchase.
NYX Lip Lingerie
When NYX launched the Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks I had to give them a try. The consistency is more mousse like than the Soft Matte Lip Creams and it does feel a little odd on the lips. The texture was easy to overcome though as the colours in the range are incredible. The colour featured in this post is ‘Push Up’ which is another brown toned nude.

Sleek Lip VIP
This is the only nude lipstick I decided to keep as I much prefer the liquid lipsticks at the moment. The Sleek Lip VIP Lipstick featured is in the colour ‘Private Booth’. This is much more of a pink toned nude and is beautifully smooth to apply. I thought I better keep one lipstick in case my love of liquid lipsticks fades.
Know Cosmetics No Thin Lips
Now you’ve found your perfect nude you want to keep it looking perfect on your lips. The Kylie Jenner big lip trend is still going strong and I can completely see why. Lip fillers certainly aren’t for everyone but Know Cosmetics ‘No Thin Lips’ can create fuller lips without needles. This magic lip plumper enhances the size of your lips but you have to be able to withstand some tingling in the process. Unfortunately I’m more of a wimp than I thought and couldn’t keep it on my lips long enough for the full effect.
Know Cosmetics No Bleeding Lips
If you aren’t one for wearing lip liner then this product is for you. No Bleeding Lips prevents your lip colour from feathering out and keeps your lips looking defined. It’s easy to apply and the clear solution means you can’t mess up. The product also doubles up as a deep line filler and can minimize the look of lines around the mouth area.
I’d love to know what your favourite nude lipsticks are. I might just add it to my shopping list. Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk is already firmly at the top.
