New Year New Me? I hope so! This year I really want to give my best shot at my New Year’s resolutions as some things just need to change. I want to be more organised and structured, happier and healthier and 2017 is the year it will all fall into place (fingers crossed).
Resolution #1 – Lose Weight
I say I’m going to do this every year, I normally start out pretty well but after a month or two I go back to my old ways. This year I NEED to make this work! My beautiful friend Kelly has asked me to be her bridesmaid and the wedding is in September. At my current weight I wouldn’t feel confident enough to wear the chosen bridesmaids dresses so my goal is to lose at least a stone before the wedding. Wish me luck!
Resolution #2 – Blog More
Towards the end of the year I really let my blogging slip. I guess I had fallen out of love with the content I was creating and hadn’t really found what I loved to write about. I want to start the New Year with a fresh motivation and to write more about what I really know about which is the technicalities of creating a blog and how to make money. Some of my most popular posts of 2016 were about those two content categories so I know they work for me.
Resolution #3 – Write Shit Down
I’m getting forgetful (really, really forgetful). I’ve got so many things buzzing around in my mind that I find myself forgetting things I’m supposed to be doing. I’m going to try and get into the habit of writing as much as I can down or even just using the notes function on my phone when someone asks me to do something so that I don’t forget it.
Resolution #4 – Leave the House
I just love staying home all day in my pyjamas all snug and cosy and sometimes the thought of venturing outside makes me bury under the duvet cover even further. In 2017 I want to go out and do things more often like I did in 2015. Even just going to a pub quiz on a Sunday or going for a drive down the Gower with Gav and Hoolio, anything that gets me out of the house for an hour or two.
Resolution #5 – Look After Myself
I’ve been living with chronic back and neck pain since my teenage years but it’s something I don’t manage well either and I make my pain worse. I often put off visiting the Osteopath or taking medication until the pain becomes unbearable and then I end up suffering for days instead of doing something about it sooner. In 2017 I need to put my health first and take care of myself more.
If you really want to smash all your goals I’ve written a post showing you 7 Easy Steps to Girl Boss 2017. I’m going to create a detailed plan for my resolutions in the hopes that they will be easier to stick to and then will become part of my day to day routine. I hope you’re all having an amazing start to the New Year and are all working towards smashing your goals and targets.
