Every Thursday I meet up with the girls for movie night, which normally entails watching a scary film and me drinking lots of wine. We’ve decided to switch it up in the countdown to Christmas and every Thursday we will be watching a Christmas classic, but there’s a twist, we won’t know in advance what film we are watching.
Inside envelopes I have written the titles of our chosen Christmas films and I have also wrapped up some movie night snacks. Each Thursday we will take it in turns to pick an envelope which will decide what film we are watching and we will also open one parcel which contains the movie night snack. We normally spend ages deciding what film to watch so this is a great way to cut the debating time and just sit back and chill and watch a film. My friend Georgina spotted this idea on Pinterest where Christmas DVD’s were wrapped up to open but between us we don’t own any of the DVD’s we wanted to watch so we will download them instead.
The film titles I have hidden in the envelopes are :
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Santa Clause
Miracle on 34th Street
We couldn’t help but throw two Christmassy horrors in there with Black Christmas and Krampus. The first movie night starts tonight and the last one will be the 22nd of December. I can’t wait to see what film we will be watching this evening! I’ve saved Muppets Christmas Carol as always for my Christmas Eve film which has now become my personal tradition.
I’d love to know what your all time favourite Christmas film is and why? Let me know in the comments.
