As you may or may not know I recently had a bit of drama with my eyelashes. I had eyelash extensions done and they have ruined my natural eyelashes and I’ve written a post all about it here. Since this happening my eyelashes have been very sparse and I’ve struggled to make my mascara work for me. At the beginning of the month I received the Tarte Cosmetics Lights, Camera Lashes mascara. I don’t currently own anything from the Tarte range but have heard lots of good things about them so was really excited to try this out.
The packaging of the product is seriously swish, it’s almost leather like. I originally thought it was just a posh cover on a normal mascara but after a lot of pulling and tugging I realised the purple material was actually how the mascara comes.
The wand itself is long and quite chunky so I expected it to create quite a heavy look but it actually creates long, dark, separated lashes. It’s the natural but more defined look. It’s a perfect everyday wearable mascara. I’ve worn it for the past few weeks and it hasn’t smudged once which is always a major point for me when buying a new mascara. There’s nothing worse than panda eyes you didn’t ask for.
For my first glimpse into the Tarte Cosmetics world I’m really impressed! I’ve already got my eye on some of their eyeshadow palettes and their blushes. They definitely have their branding on point as their website is beyond Pinterest worthy.
Have you tried anything from the Tarte range? What should I try next?
