On our second day at Bluestone Wales we decided to take a walk around the beautiful lake that they had and we also went for a wander around the quaint Bluestone village. We were very lucky with the weather this week as it was so warm and everything just felt so serene and blissful. At times I forgot I was in Wales as it felt more like being in the south of France.
The walk around the lake was so relaxing and I was adamant I was going to make it into National Geographic with my wildlife photography.
There were lots of ducks swimming on the lake and they weren’t that bothered by us shoving our cameras in their faces. I think they were used to it. We also saw lots of small frogs and the odd squirrel. The lake was very calm and peaceful when we went for our walk, it was nice to get out in the fresh air and just watch life go by.
After our walk around the lake we headed up to the Bluestone village where the shops and restaurants are based. As we were walking up towards it I spotted this huge pink building and out of the corner of my eye I saw a sign for Joe’s Ice cream. If you don’t know what Joe’s ice cream is it is basically the best ice cream you will ever eat!
Seeing as it was such a warm day we all decided to treat ourselves to a double scoop of Joe’s ice cream. I opted for Salted Caramel and Strawberry and it tasted amazing! Getting ice cream was the best decision we made that day.
After our mini adventure we headed back to the lodge to relax and do some more blogging. It was nice just to get outside and go for a walk. It’s something I rarely do at home but know I should make the effort to do more. I live near such gorgeous beaches and coastal walks but never make the most of where I live.
