Why I’ve Ditched Make Up Brushes for a Make Up Sponge

Pamper Therapy UK Make Up Sponge Blender

My make up brush collection is continually growing. Currently I own brushes from brands such as Real Techniques, Look Good Feel Better, Lab2 and Nanshy. I love all the brushes but when it comes to foundation they just don’t do the job for me.

I bought my first beauty blender style make up sponge around 2 months ago from Real Techniques and I love it but it’s not that durable. It’s already falling apart from washing and hasn’t kept it’s shape very well.

I was recently introduced to the brand Pamper Therapy UK who have their own make up sponge which is very similar to the original Beauty Blender. The sponge is created with 3 easy to use sections that are suitable for different areas of the face when applying foundation and concealer. The rounded side of the sponge is perfect for larger areas of the face such as the cheeks and forehead. The flat side is perfect for fuller coverage days to make layering foundation easier. The pointed tip is great for blending under the eyes, nose and around the eyebrows to help define the shape.

I absolutely love the very narrow pointed tip of this make up sponge as it makes it so much easier to blend concealer under my eyes. The sponge helps blend my foundation so seamlessly and really does help give that flawless finish. I truly believe this is not a finish you can get with a make up brush alone.

I’ve completely converted to make up sponges for my foundation and concealer application now as I haven’t found a make up brush that compares to it.

If you haven’t yet tried a make up sponge then I would highly recommend this gorgeous pink beauty from Pamper Therapy UK as it’s extremely reasonable at just £7.95! It is a seriously good high quality dupe for the original Beauty Blender.

What do you currently use to apply your foundation? Have any of you tried the oval shaped brushes from By Terry?

I kind of wonder who actually uses foundation brushes anymore hahaha, I mean since having a makeup sponge I can probably count the amount of times I've used a foundation brush on one hand..

It will honestly take a miracle brush to convert me back!
