On Friday night I was very kindly invited to Fiction Nightclub situated on Little Wind Street in Swansea to sample their VIP package. I used to work in this nightclub when I was 18/19 but back then it was called Play. I literally haven’t stepped foot in there since, so when I was asked to pop along for a night out I was intrigued to see what they had done with the place and I never ever turn down free alcohol!
I didn’t really have any expectations before arriving all I knew in advance was that we would have a VIP Booth area, Champagne Entry and Vodka & Mixers.
When we arrived it was chucking it down with rain so we legged it (as fast as I could in my giant heels) to Fiction which is situated at the bottom end of Wind Street. Luckily we had queue jump so we whipped out our ID’S and then dived for cover in the entryway of Fiction.
We were greeted with a glass of champagne each and then shown to our booth which overlooked the dance floor in the main room of the nightclub. The VIP area was full and there were lots of stags and hens enjoying their night out as well as people celebrating birthdays.
After we had been shown to our table a very handsome man came over with an entire bottle of vodka that had a sparkler coming out of it and mixers of coke and lemonade for us. When the invite said Vodka and Mixers I was expecting just a drink each not the entire bottle, so that was a very nice surprise indeed!
Another 10 minutes later and we were provided with a tray of cocktails. If I didn’t have another event the next day I would have been on the floor with the amount of alcohol we were given.
Me and the girls went for a little wander and found another room called Vinyl that was playing all the cheesy classics like Vengaboys and S Club 7, basically the best room ever! We kindly asked one of the bar staff if we could swap our VIP booth to that room and they happily moved us and our masses of drinks over to the other room.
We were now in our absolute element busting all the moves to Beyonce’s, Single Ladies and Azelia Banks’, 212. There was a lot of snapchatting going on whilst we sung our hearts out to Britney Spears and Justin Bieber.
I had such a good night and I can’t Thank Fiction Swansea enough for everything they did for us. A massive hats off to the Ladies who work there as they were fantastic!!
If you are looking to book a night out for a birthday party or celebration then I would definitely recommend Fiction. There’s music to suit everyone and there’s even straighteners in the toilets, what more could you ask for?
*Sorry for the lack of pictures but the lighting in nightclubs isn’t great for blog photography.
