I’ve caved into the Colourpop hype and recently I placed a rather large order for some of their must have items, You can’t actually get Colourpop in the UK but I very fortunately have a friend currently living there who let me order to her house and then I got them sent directly to me. Big thanks to Vicky and Vicky’s Mum for that!
I ended up buying 6 Ultra Matte Lipsticks (I accidentally left one out of the picture), 2 Lippie Pencils, 1 Lippie Stix, 1 Bronzer, 2 Blushes and 2 Highlighters.
The 6 Ultra Matte Lipsticks I bought were LAX, Teeny Tiny, Lumiere 2, Trap, Solow and Beeper (not pictured). I absolutely love the pigmentation and consistency of these products. They go on so easily and the colour is super long lasting. I’ve worn LAX on a night out and the colour lasted all evening drinking and even through to a late night curry! I’m very impressed with how long wearing they are. They are slightly drying on the lips so I always make sure to use a good lip balm an hour or two before applying the lipsticks.
I picked up Lippie Pencils in Tootsi and Bound and also the Lippie Stix in Tootsi. The pencils and stix have a gorgeous creamy consistency and glide so easily onto the lips. I’m kind of gutted now that I didn’t buy more of the Lippie Stix as they are really easy to apply and don’t dry out the lips like the Ultra Matte Lipsticks do.
The Blushes I picked up were in the shades Between the Sheets and Birthday Suit. Between the Sheets is a Matte Blush and Birthday Suit is a Satin Finish. The colours of both of these are very natural and are much easier to apply with the fingers as they have a creamy consistency. When applying with a brush you need to use a lot more of the product to get the full colour effect.
I opted for a gold and white toned highlighter, the gold tone is called Lunch Money and the more silver/white toned highlighter is called Stole The Show. Again these are creamy in texture and for the best effect you should apply these with your fingers. These highlighters are the definition of ‘highlight on fleek’ they look so natural but give that amazing light reflection just above the cheek bone!
Have you tried anything from the Colourpop range yet? What would you love to get your hands on?
