2016 Blogging Goals

2016 Blogging Goals

Last year I set myself some life goals as well as the goal to continue blogging. Continuing blogging for a whole year is the only goal I actually accomplished out of my list. This year I’ve decided not to set myself any life goals as I never ever stick to them anyway, this year I am instead going to focus purely on blogging goals and where I want to be this time next year.

Stats are an easy way to see how your blog has grown and progressed. Stats are by no means everything but it’s always nice to see the little number count rising and your following growing.

These are my goals for each form of social media for the end of 2016:

Bloglovin – 1000 Followers

Twitter – 3500 Followers

Instagram – 1000 Followers

I want to plan my posts more and schedule ahead so that if something does crop up then my blog won’t suffer if I can’t write a post for a few days. I want to put more thought into posts around the seasonal occasions and come up with something new and interesting. I’d also like to write more Tutorials for graphic design and blog layout editing.

I want to interact more across all social media platforms with other bloggers and get involved with more chats and other things going on in the community.

I want to spend more time scheduling tweets each evening to promote my posts more for when I haven’t got time to be on Twitter.

I attended my first blogging event in September and have attended another 3 since then. I would love to try and attend a blogging event once a month and try and travel to some in London when possible.

I was recently bought the Olympus Pen E-PL7 and I want to learn to use it more and improve my blog photography. I want to push myself to spend more time experimenting with photo layout and props and accessories to find my own photography style.

After seeing my Instagram Best Nine of 2015 I realised that I absolutely hated my photos. I want to start a new ‘theme’ and stick with it and post to Instagram at least 4 times a week.

I’ve set myself quite a lot of goals but I feel like they are all realistic and something I can push myself to stick to. Have you set yourself any blogging goals for the New Year?

Fantastic goals, I have a fair few of them in mind for my own blog over 2016 – especially posting more and better photos to Instagram! I hated my best nine picks and it's really made me think about the kinds of images I want to take and show!

Good luck with your goals! Instagram is something I definitely want to work on too, I've been happier with my recent photos but I still want to improve more in 2016. I love your tutorials so I'm looking forward to seeing more of those!
