The Wet Brush Pro* – £5.99
My hair has always been the bane of my life. It’s unbelievably thick and get’s into a matted mess within seconds. A gust of wind or the hint of rain and my hair becomes completely unmanageable. I’ve been relying on my Tangle Teezer for some time now to be able to brush my hair without pulling it out in clumps because of knots. The only downside is that I find the Tangle Teezer quite hard to hold and everytime I hit a knot the damn thing goes flying out of my hand and bouncing across my bedroom floor.
The Wet Brush was designed specifically for wet hair and promises to ‘detangle your knots with ease’. I felt I was the perfect candidate to really put this brush to the test.
After using the Tangle Teezer for so long I have come to the realisation that I definitely prefer a brush with a handle. It’s so much easier to hold and grip onto than the tangle teezer is. I tried the brush out the day I received it (after snapping obligatory blog photos of course) and used it after I had got out of the shower with freshly washed hair. The brush glided through my hair so effortlessly and didn’t get stuck on a single knot. It just felt so easy to brush my hair rather than the dreaded chore it has become. Sometimes it’s really hard to put into words just how much you love a product but this for me has just blown the tangle teezer out of the water. It wins completely on ease of use and softness of bristles. The only downside is it’s slightly too big to be handbag friendly. Fortunately for me the brand have thought of that as well and have also created a mini version for travelling called ‘the squirt‘ which gave me a giggle.
The only thing I would not recommend is trying to dry your hair and use the brush at the same time as I might have accidentally burnt some of the bristles on one side of the brush and now they are leaning the wrong way, but luckily I tested that so you don’t have to.
They also have other styles of brushes and they come in all sorts of colours and designs so they are suitable for everyone.
