Me and my boyfriend (mainly my boyfriend) recently gave our bathroom a complete makeover. When revamping any room in the house you need to make sure you have a vision before you start. The purpose of the bathroom is to be comfortable, functional & relaxing. A comfortable bathroom is a part of what makes a house a home. To achieve your ultimate bathroom bliss here are my tips:
Clean those tiles!
I am the absolute worst when it comes to any sort of house cleaning. I put it off until it starts to become unbearable. The bathroom especially is a room I hate cleaning. All that hard work spent revamping the bathroom and I can’t keep it clean, but when your tiles look clean, everything else looks great. You should spend an hour or so scrubbing the tiles so that they sparkle. You also need to make sure that the grouting is as clean as it can be. This chore won’t take you long, but it will be well worth the work.
Get a super powerful shower
When you step into your shower, the last thing you need is a slow drip of water on you. You want a powerful shower that makes all the difference. Often, the problem is with your water pressure. If the pressure is low, you will find that the shower does not have the power it needs. You can turn up the water pressure on your boiler. Once you do so, you will find that your shower works much better than it does now.
Create a relaxation space
When you have had a hard day at work, you want to come home and chill out in your bathroom. Why not create a spa in the bathroom? That way, you can enjoy the relaxing experience of a spa in your home. Once you have revamped your room, there is no going back. This space will help you de-stress when you need to.
Install a heated towel rail
If you want to add some extra luxury to your home, you should get a heated towel rail for it. You can get these rails online for next to nothing. It is perhaps best to have an electrician install the rail for you (Lucky for m my boyfriend is one). If you don’t know anything about the wiring in your home, you need to be as careful as possible. See if there is an expert in your area. If you get the help you need, your bathroom will be incredible.
Add some little extras
Finally, you need to add loads of little extras to make your house feel as comfortable as possible. For example, you could get some chic candles for your room. You could also get some oils to burn while you have a bath. You might think that these little things don’t matter, but they do. When you add the finishing touches to your room, you will see that it is a little oasis!
What would you change about your current bathroom? I’m dreaming of a jacuzzi bath!
