Blogger Beauty Box #1

Blogger Beauty Box

Blogger Beauty Box is the brainchild of the multi talented Blogger & Entrepreneur Vicky Meldrew. Vicky spotted a gap in the market for Beauty Subscription boxes that were by Bloggers for Bloggers. The Blogger Beauty Box is currently an exclusive product that is available for between 30 & 50 bloggers a month, you need to be quick to reserve your beauty box. I am proud to say I am one of the lucky few to purchase and review the first Blogger Beauty Box ever!

For the first Blogger Beauty Box I think that Vix has done amazingly. I love the logo that has been created and think this box has a very competitive future in the subscription box market.

Beauty Blogger Monthly Subscription Box

The items included in the Blogger Beauty Box are:

Dusty Girls Pacific Ocean Shimmer Lipgloss
Moogoo Cover Up Buttercup SPF15 Natural Moisturizer
Timeless Truth T.T Miracle Rejuvenation Mask
W7 Fluorescent Kiss Lipstick in Ibiza
W7 Eyelust Black Mascara

First Impressions of the Products
There were some brands I had heard of and some I had never heard of before. This is one big reason that I love subscription boxes as it introduces you to new brands that you may not have come across otherwise. I have previously reviewed the Bee Venom Face Mask by the Timeless Truth brand so was really looking forward to trying another product from their range. W7 is a brand I have heard of but only by name and don’t really know too much about them. Dusty Girls & Moogoo were two brands I had never heard of before but couldn’t wait to try out their products.

Review of each Product:

Dusty Girls Pacific Ocean Shimmer Lipgloss – $14.50 (£9.30)
I was completely won over by the packaging of this product. The lipgloss comes in a cardboard box with a slide out section that holds the lipgloss, very cute indeed! I thought the product was a little bit gimmicky and reminded me of something I would have used as a pre-teen but when I applied the product I completely changed my mind! It gave a very nice shimmer to my lips without them looking overly glossy. I think it would also be great over a lipstick to add some extra shine.

Moogoo Cover Up Buttercup SPF15 Natural Moisturizer – £24.90
For starters, I completely love the product name, it gave me a giggle. I also love that the moisturiser has SPF included in it as none of the ones I have currently do. The moisturiser is extremely thick so you only need a teeny tiny amount, I found this out the hard way and ended up with my leg covered in moisturiser that wouldn’t smooth into the skin. The moisturiser has a yellowy tint to it but blends in perfectly. It didn’t have a strong scent either which I was happy about as I don’t like anything too overpowering. Overall I’m very impressed and I’d love to try out the Oil Cleanser for Combination skin from their range as well. I do think the product is slightly overpriced though.

Timeless Truth T.T Miracle Rejuvenation Mask – $55 (£35 for 5 masks)
I’m already a big fan of the Timeless Truth brand of face masks so was really excited to try another product from their range. This mask was so easy to apply and even had little ear loops to make sure the mask stayed in place. The masks promises to brighten, smooth and tone your complexion and I really did love the results I had instantly. My skin felt soft and looked much smoother in tone. The only downside would be that it made my skin breakout across my forehead, bit annoying but that’s the price you pay for beauty.

W7 Fluorescent Kiss Lipstick in Ibiza – £2.99
This was the product that I was least thrilled with. The pink was super bright and really not something I would wear on any basis. Although it may come in handy for some sort of fancy dress event. Never rule anything out!

W7 Eyelust Black Mascara – £4.95
I wasn’t too sure what I was going to make of this product as the mascara wand was so thick! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mascara wand so bulky. I gave it a go anyway and was insanely impressed with the result. The mascara left my lashes beautifully splayed out and kept them nice and thin and natural looking. Not the result I had expected at all! It’s probably not something I would have purchased if I had seen it in the shop but the results are perfect. Really, really impressed!!

Overall I’ve absolutely loved receiving my first Blogger Beauty Box and I really hope this takes off for Vicky and that there are many more to come. If you are a Blogger or even a Brand interested in getting involved then visit the website here for more details.

Loved the box too! The mascara wand scared me too, I'm so used to the tiny plastic Benefit ones but was impressed by it! Might give the W7 palettes a go now! Love your photos too x
