I’ve been seeing photos of these damn cookies absolutely everywhere recently and I gave into the hype and made a batch of my own. Here’s how to make them and what I thought of Tanya Burr’s Triple Chocolate Cookies:
What You Will Need
300g Caster Sugar
1 Large Egg
275g Self Raising Flour
75g Cocoa Powder
A little bit of Milk
A Large Bar of Milk Chocolate (Dairy Milk)
A Large Bar of White Chocolate (Milka)
A Large Bar of Dark Chocolate (I’m not a Dark Chocolate fan so I opted for Galaxy instead)
Flat Oven Trays
You can mix and match the chocolate bars you use to get different tastes that you will love.
This recipe will make 10 large cookies.
How To Bake Them
Start by preheating your oven to 200 degrees celsius
Measure out your Butter & Caster Sugar and mix them together in a bowl
Crack in your 1 Large Egg and mix again
Measure your Self Raising Flour & Cocoa Powder and pour these into your bowl and get mixing (You will need some serious elbow grease at this point)
If your really struggling add a dash of milk to make mixing a bit easier
Break up your chocolate squares and throw them into your mixture
(I found it easiest to almost knead them into the mixture and try and spread all the different chocolate about for the best end result)
Line 2 oven trays with baking paper
Pick up handfuls of your mixture and place them onto your tray (Make sure you spread them apart as they will expand in the oven)
Pop them into the oven for 11 minutes (Tanya Burr has timed it to perfection)
After 11 minutes they won’t look cooked but once they have cooled they will go a bit harder and will be perfect for eating
Leave the cookies to cool for 30 minutes before devouring them all in one go!
I’m a complete novice in the Kitchen and especially when it comes to baking I haven’t got a clue, but Tanya Burr’s recipe and instructions are pretty much fool proof. They were super easy to make and if I do say so myself they tasted damn incredible! If you’ve ever had a Ben’s Cookies before that’s exactly how mouth wateringly gooey they are. The pieces of chocolate literally melt in your mouth. Heaven! I would however recommend eating as many as you can the time that you bake them as the next day they aren’t quite as mouth wateringly gooey.
Have you tried the recipe for the Triple Chocolate Cookies? If not, do it right now! You won’t regret it!
