As I write this post it’s Sunday and I love nothing better than a lie in, some junk food and an evening face mask. I’ve had this face mask sitting around for a while now and honestly I’ve been slightly put off from using it. The packaging and face mask look completely intriguing but any product that requires a Youtube video to show you how to apply it seems like a lot of effort for something that is supposed to be relaxing.
Sunday evening seemed the perfect time for me to try out this face mask as I had some time to spare. When I opened the bottle style packaging I was presented with 2 sachets numbered 1 & 2, a spatula and an oxygenating serum? What? An instruction manual is also provided.
First step: Applying the Oxygenating serum all over your face leaving some spare to use again after you have peeled the face mask off.
Step Two: Pour the contents of sachet one into the lid of the packaging. The first sachet contained a green powder.
Step Three: Pour the contents of sachet two into the lid with the green powder. Now this sachet is a liquid / gel like green substance and reminded me so much of Flubber (90’s kids will understand).
Step Four: Use the spatula to mix together the two products starting slow and then mixing more energetically to get the right consistency for applying to the face.
Step Five: Apply the product to your face with the spatula. The green face mask goes on really bizarrely and looks extremely lumpy and bumpy on the skin and nothing like the image on the front of the packaging, but it still works.
Step Six: Sit back and relax whilst your face mask gets to work.
The face mask dries extremely quickly and is actually really relaxing and calming on the skin. You can apply the product all over the face including the eye and mouth area but that just felt too bizarre to me so I left those areas out.
I was actually really impressed with the face mask, yes the process of creating the mask is a little lengthy when you just want to kick back and relax but it’s definitely worth the time it takes. My skin feels unbelievably fresh and rejuvenated and I’m kind of kicking myself for not trying it sooner. First impressions aren’t always right.
I do find the price a little expensive for what is essentially a fancy face mask. It’s cheaper than a spa day though and gives you the same relaxing, rejuvenated feeling. So if your looking for something to truly pamper yourself at home with then Casmara Cosmetics have got you covered. They have lots of other peel off face masks and they have one that contains 24 carat gold dust which I would love to try!
Casmara Cosmetics are normally stocked in Boots but I believe they are currently out of stock and are awaiting a new lot of masks to be delivered, so keep your eyes peeled in Boots for those.
