Sebamed Clear Face Deep Cleansing Facial Toner* – £4.99
Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel* – £4.49

I’ve always loathed my skin. Since having acne in my teens my skin has never been spot free since. I feel like my large facial pores don’t help as my skin gets clogged up very quickly causing all these spot break outs. Sebamed heard my cry for help and offered me to trial their ‘Clear Face’ cleansing range for acne prone skin. I of course jumped at the chance to trial it and give my thoughts. I have been using the product for 4 weeks now and will give my thoughts and opinions on each product individually.

Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Bar
After taking my makeup off at night with the Garnier Micellar Water I then cleansed my face with the Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Bar. Having used Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser on my skin for a few months now I found it hard to revert back to using a cleansing bar. Another problem I found was trying to store it after use. Putting it back in the cardboard box just made it go soggy. I haven’t really noticed a major difference in my skin when using this product but it definitely gets away the remainders of my makeup at the end of an evening.

Sebamed Clear Face Deep Cleansing Facial Toner
I think the Toner is my favourite product from the bunch. After using the cleansing bar I would put some toner onto a cotton wool pad and wipe over my skin removing any left behind dirt and grime. I was quite shocked at how much dirt was actually still on my skin and the toner helped remove it with ease. I haven’t ever used a Toner before and will definitely continue to keep this as part of my skincare routine. It just leaves your skin feeling so fresh and thoroughly cleansed.

Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel
The care gel is the final step in the 3 part cleansing range by Sebamed. I applied the care gel quite generously over my skin after I had used the toner. It comes out as a clear coloured gel and didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky, which I loved. It sunk into the skin beautifully and I didn’t wake up with extra oily skin which has happened with other gel like products I have used. I haven’t noticed a major difference in my breakouts though which is a shame.

Overall I would definitely repurchase the Toner but would probably use other products in place of the cleanser and care gel.

Have you tried any products from the Sebamed range? Do you have a problem with breakouts? If so, What is your holy grail acne fighting product you think I should try?

I also trialled out these three items, and it's so funny because I loved the cleansing bar and gel, but I wasn't too much of a fan of the toner! Skincare is definitely different for different people! Lovely review x

I completely agree it's down to different people's skin type. I think a good skincare routine can take years to figure out and find out what works for you x

    Hi Neesha,

Yeh I am working at boohoo 🙂 In their London office. Thank you for your comment, and thank you for this blog post. I'm in need of a new skincare routine. It's so hard though when everyone has different skin types to know what's good and what's not. I might give this a go anyway as it's so cheap. x

To be honest, Sebamed is kind of a weird, offputting name for a brand. Haha. But the Cleansing Facial Toner sounds really nice. :]

I really want to try the cleansing bar, it is one of the very few things missing in my skincare routine. Would need to buy something to store it in too though!
