I attended a Body Shop party at the end of last year and thought it was the perfect opportunity to pick up The Body Shop InstaBlur Primer. I’ve read lots about it and have seen other reviews but thought I should give my opinion on the product.
The Body Shop InstaBlur is said to ‘perfect blurs and imperfections, giving you flawless photo perfect skin in an instant’. The product itself did not look how I had expected it to look. I was expecting more of a creamy moisturizer consistency whereas InstaBlur is actually a clear product that sort of reminds me of glue you used in primary school (stick with me on this one, no pun intended).
I applied the product all over my face and especially focused on my cheeks and nose where my pores are the largest.
The product is beyond soft to apply and feels really nice on the skin, it sinks in beautifully and doesn’t leave the skin feeling sticky or too heavy. This is something I really loved about it.
The only downside for me is that it didn’t really make any difference to my pores, which is one of the main reasons I purchased the product. My skin looked exactly the same to me. I was expecting more of a Benefit Porefessional result but that wasn’t the case.
I definitely think it makes a difference to how long my make-up lasts and keeps me looking shine free but perfecting blurs and imperfections is something I didn’t find it did for me.
Unfortunately I probably won’t be repurchasing The Body Shop InstaBlur as I find that Benefit Porefessional (review here) works much better for me.
