I’ve been seeing the company ‘NailBuff‘ pop up a lot recently in blog posts and twitter mentions. Being the nosy person I am I was keen to check it out and I’m pretty damn glad I did!
NailBuff is an online site that enables you to create an online catalogue of your nail varnish collection and forever store it on the world wide web 100% free of charge. Not only that but you can compare two nail polish colours next to each other.
You may be wondering exactly what I wondered. Why would I need such a website in my life? Luckily for you.. I have two possible answers as to why you need NailBuff in your life.
Nail Varnishes are not normally something I plan to buy. I often pick these up on a whim when I’m in store, therefore very little thought goes into what I’m purchasing. On more than one occasion now I have accidentally purchased a nail varnish shade that I already own without realising. This is where I think NailBuff would come in handy for me. All I would need to do is log into my account and then I would realise that I actually already own that nail polish when I view my online virtual collection! Such an easy way to solve a problem that keeps happening to me!
The other function NailBuff has is the colour comparison feature. Sometimes when your in store and you see the nail polish and put it next to another to compare you really don’t get a good feel of how the colours will go together. This is something NailBuff can do for you. Just select the two colours and they can be instantly matched alongside each other. I find this would be amazing if you’re comparing two different branded nail varnishes that aren’t stocked in one store. Problem solved!
NailBuff is a very new up and coming company founded this year, 2015. I can already see the potential this has and what other features they could add in the future. I would love to see a ‘wish list’ style feature that would enable to add all the nail varnishes you want to get and keep them all in one place. I’m really looking forward to seeing this company develop and grow, it could be the next big beauty tech craze!
*The site is still in development and there are a number of shades / brands that are yet to be added. If there are any you would love to see on the site that aren’t already there just tweet @nailbuff and I’m sure they will help you out.
What are your thoughts on NailBuff? Have you created your virtual collection of nail varnishes?
