Baker Days Your A Star Cake & Giveaway

Baker Days Letterbox Cake

Baker Days Letterbox Thank You Cake

Baker Days Your A Star* – From £14.99

My boyfriend has been working super duper hard the last few weekends to build us a new shower. He’s had no help and I wanted to thank him for all the work he has done. I’m not the best when it comes to saying how I feel so I thought what better way to show my appreciation than with CAKE! I mean who doesn’t love cake? Awkwardly though I gave the company my name to put on the cake instead of his…oops! It’s the thought that counts though right?

The cake arrived through the letterbox just as it says on the tin. I kind of got that it was a ‘Letter Box Cake’ but I didn’t think the postman would just drop it through the door. I anxiously opened the box expecting the cake to be in bits but it was perfectly in tact! There must be some form of sorcery involved!

The cake looked gorgeous and smelled freakin’ incredible! I wish I could magically send you the smell via the internet because it smelt insanely good. Of course obligatory blog photos had to be taken before I could dive into this beauty.

Baker Days Letterbox Thank You Cake

The letterbox cakes are 5 inch cakes perfect for one or two people to share. The letterbox cake is the smallest that the company make along with full size birthday cakes and even the cutest cupcakes, all of which can be personalised for you.

On all the cakes you can also choose your choice of recipe from the good old vanilla sponge cake to my mums favourite the fruit cake, the recipe I had was the double chocolate chip.. oh yeah, get in my belly! Another awesome thing I noticed was that they also do gluten and dairy free cakes, my friend has just gone gluten free so this would be perfect for her!

Baker Days Letterbox Chocolate with Double Chocolate Chip Cake

For a cake that literally just dropped through my letterbox it was sooo yummy! The icing was perfect and that is always my favourite part of the cake. The chocolate was super chocolaty and a little bit sickly even after a small portion so this size is definitely perfect for sharing. Next time I order I will probably go for the normal sponge option and then I can eat it all to myself haha!

That's very sweet of you to say Thank You to your bf. He must have been such a hard worker to get a new shower sorted. If I look at mine….well let's better not :)))) Thank you so much for hosting a giveaway, good luck to everyone! Though I love chocolate I would go for a lighter (and probably more unhealthy and sweeter) version and chose the vanilla sponge.
