Quinoderm Dual Action Anti Bacterial Face Wash

Quinoderm Dual Action Anti Bacterial Face Wash

Quinoderm Dual Action Anti Bacterial Face Wash* – £4.49

For as long as I can remember I’ve had problem skin. It pretty much started in comprehensive school when I was about 13-14. I broke out into so many spots and tried every face wash, lotion & cream to try and keep it under control. In the end I went to the doctors and was given a face lotion. This worked for a while but soon my skin become accustomed to it and the effect it was having wore off.

I stopped any treatment for a few years and just wore a lot of makeup to hide my skin. For the past year and a half I’ve been on prescription medication for acne. At first I thought my prayers had been answered as my skin cleared up completely and I was thrilled with the results. Eventually though my body seemed to get used to the medication and the effect it was having wore off. I stopped taking the medication and a week later I was offered a trial of Quinoderm which I couldn’t wait to try. Maybe this was the answer to my spotty situation?

Quinoderm contains two active ingredients that are said to ‘remove any excess facial oil, grease or dirt and leaves the skin clean, healthy and feeling refreshed’. The instructions of use are to wet your hands and face and gently massage a generous blob of the face wash paying attention to forehead, nose, cheeks and chin before rinsing off thoroughly.

My first use of the product was fairly traumatic. I followed the instructions but must have not washed the product off thoroughly enough as within about 20 minutes my cheeks and nose were glowing red and looked very blotchy. It wasn’t painful or anything, it just looked awful! The first time I used the wash as well my skin seemed to break out even more across my jaw line. (Not a happy Neesha)

I persevered though and continued to use the face wash twice a day once in the morning before applying my makeup and last thing at night before bed.

To be completely honest I haven’t noticed any difference to my skin. I feel like it hasn’t made my spots better or worse. I read some other online reviews and some people have had great success with the product and others not so much. I really think it all depends on your skin type. Mine just wasn’t co-operating sadly.

So I am still on the hunt for an acne blasting product that works! Do you have any recommendations? I would love to hear what works for you.

That's such a shame this didn't work for you! I suffer from acne too, although it was a lot worse when I was younger, I tried every cream, and I was also on antibiotics for a while, although nothing really helped. It's gotten a lot better as I've gotten older, but its still problematic for me. I would recommend trying out some of Clinique's Anti Blemish Range if you haven't already, it's really helped me! x
