E45 Moisturising Lotion & Hand Cream Review & Giveaway*

E45 Moisturising Lotion

E45 Repair & Protect Overnight Hand Cream

About 3 months ago I was put on a a new medication to treat my acne flare up. For the first two weeks the medication can make your skin worse but after that period I noticed major improvements in my skin. I was absolutely thrilled and relieved I had found the miracle for my breakouts. I have been trying lots of different acne medication since being in comprehensive school so having found this miracle drug 10 years later was a god send. There is however a teeny tiny downside to this medication and that is… dry skin!

As always with any medication it comes with some not so great side effects. Luckily I have managed to dodge most of the other unpleasant ones. I did not however manage to dodge how dry my skin would become whilst taking this drug.

The areas of skin that have been most affected are on my face, mainly my forehead, nose and cheeks. I have used my regular skin moisturiser daily but this has not seemed to make any difference to my skin. Also during winter and the colder months I get very dry skin on the knuckles of my hands. When E45 contacted me and asked if I would like to review their products I jumped at the chance. E45 are a brand I know of but I have never actually gone out and purchased their products myself.

I was sent the E45 Moisturising Lotion* which promises to ‘soothe, soften and relieve dry and sensitive skin’ as well as the E45 Repair and Protect Overnight Hand Cream* for dry skin which ‘boosts skin regeneration overnight’.

I started using both products as soon as they arrived. I applied the E45 Moisturising Lotion to my skin before my makeup application and once again before I went to bed. I used the E45 Repair and Protect Overnight Hand Cream last thing at night and I also carried it around it my handbag and applied it occasionally throughout the day.

I’ve been using both products for a week now and I have noticed a major improvement. Very happy Neesha indeed. My skin was so dry and flaking that my make-up was literally peeling off. Thank the lord of E45 that I no longer have this problem. My skin is much smoother and softer and my makeup is looking so much better on my back to normal skin. I’ve also been using the product on my elbows as for some weird reason they were getting extremely dry but they are now soft and subtle too.

The hand cream is my major favourite though. It may well be the best hand cream I’ve used. Unlike other hand creams I’ve used it doesn’t linger on the skin too long and sinks in very quickly. It made my hands feel instantly soft and smooth. The dry skin on my knuckles is banished and I feel so much better for it. This is one product I will definitely be repurchasing and just keep in my handbag.

E45 have very kindly let me giveaway the E45 Moisturising Lotion & the E45 Hand Cream to 3 lucky winners!

I definitely have dry skin worries! The alcohol gels and foams in hospital really dry my hands out, not helped by coming home and doing lots of washing up in hot water. To add to it all, I've been in a few dermatology clinics recently and when I spend three or four hours talking about skin problems, it makes me really conscious of my own skin and so I've been subconsciously itching. I recently bought another brand of hand cream that one of the dermatologists was recommending… sadly I missed the tutorial where the nurses gave out free samples of E45 🙁 So I'd love to win some!

I really like e45! I have always got on and off problems with dry skin and eczema, so I find e45 is a good balance between normal moisturiser and the really thick not very enjoyable prescription creams so try and use it as much as possible! x
