My review of the items I have purchased through Depop and what I think of the new up and coming buying and selling app.
I downloaded the app on Saturday and with a small amount of browsing found 3 items that I wanted to purchase.
To purchase an item you simply click the buy button if you are happy with the price or you leave a comment for the seller to try and negotiate and snag a bargain. I love the comment feature within the app and it’s great to quickly get in contact with the seller and try and barter for a better price or negotiate a deduction on shipping costs.
Once you have clicked ‘Buy’ you will be taken to a screen that shows you whether the item will be shipped or if it needs collecting from the seller. This screen will also tell you the price of the postage which is added on to the buy it price you have already seen.
If you are happy to proceed you will be forwarded to a paypal screen which is the most secure online payment method. If you have an account just log in and press confirm. If you do not have an account you can pay via card which is still safe and secure.
Then you simply sit back and put your feet up and wait for Mr Postman to call.
All items I purchased arrived within 3 working days and I love them all! I am absolutely thrilled with the service I have had from the three Depop users and would purchase from them again.
I spent £20.50 on Depop (including postage) and used my Paypal funds to pay for it. I managed to get two going out dresses and a necklace. Quite thrilled with my bargains!

There are some rare incidents where items can get lost in the post and then you are left out of pocket as Depop does not offer the buyer the same protection that Ebay does. But these incidents are normally few and far between but you should be aware that this can happen.
There are some great sellers on Depop and a lot of bloggers are now using it to sell clothing and make-up e.t.c so it’s the perfect app if you follow a particular blogger and love their style!
I’m definitely going to keep using the app for Buying goods from. Especially when bloggers are getting rid of their unwanted beauty goodies at often a steal price!
I’ve also just agreed to do a clothes swap with someone so will post on that as well once my item arrives.
And… I’ve SOLD my first item wahoo. So I will also write a selling review for Depop as well.
Do you have a Depop account? Let me know and I will have a nose!
