The British Tag

Ok so I haven’t actually been tagged to do this one but I thought it would be a good way of people getting to know a bit more about me. So here it goes…

How many cups of tea do you have a day and how many sugars?
I can honestly say that I have never ever drunk a cup of tea in my life. I’m really not a fan of warm drinks at all. I prefer something that has come straight out of the fridge to add ice too. That’s even in the winter as well!

What is your favourite part of your roast dinner?
I am possibly the fussiest eater know to man. It wasn’t until two years ago that I actually started eating turkey for Christmas Dinner! I do now enjoy a roast dinner and my favourite part is the Yorkshire Pudding. Yum.

What is your favourite dunking biscuit?
Due to not drinking warm drinks I have also never dunked a biscuit into anything. But my favourite biscuits are Custard Creams.

What is your favourite quintessentially British pastime?
This is a hard question as I don’t think anything that I really do is ‘Typically British’. I like a game of bowls down my boyfriends caravan park if that counts as quintessentially British?

What is your favourite word?

My favourite word.. hm.. I really have no idea. My favourite word is Welsh and not British so I’m going to say ‘Cwtch’. It is a welsh word that has no English translation to be exact but it is like a cosy hug.

Do you know any cockney rhyme slang?

I know Apples & Pears is Stairs. I think Rub a Dub is possibly Pub? But don’t quote me on that.  I used to actually know loads but I can’t think of any of the top of my head now.

What is your favourite sweet?

I’m not really a sweet person, I prefer a packet of crisps. But if I was to pick sweets in a shop I normally go for a Dib Dab.

What would your pub be called?

I would call my pub the Royal Rose and it would be all wooden and vintage-esque with old kegs on display and all the tables would have a single rose on them like Beauty and the Beast!

Who is your no.1 British person?

My favourite Brit has to be Fearne Cotton. I just plain damn love her!

What is your favourite shop and restaurant?

My favourite shop would be anywhere similar to Dunelm Mill. I love looking at all the cute home wares and buying endless cushions and plaques which I do not need. My favourite restaurant isn’t British at all it’s an Italian called Mama Mia’s.

What British song pops into your head?

The first song that popped into my mind was ‘We are the Champions’ by Queen. That should definitely be out national anthem. Sorry Queeny!

Marmite?

I have never tried it and don’t intend on doing so either.

Thanks for reading 🙂
