So yesterday I had a job interview. I’m not going to mention the company it was for but I will tell you how it went and show you what I wore.
The night before I felt pretty calm the only thing I was worried about was what I was going to wear. I had all the completed forms and proof of I.D I needed ready and packed in my bag for the morning.
I ended up wearing a green & blue tartan shift dress from New Look, a plain black New Look cardigan, black Primark tights and black Primark shoes with a gold buckle. ‘Smart Casual Work Attire’ is what I was trying to aim for.
So I set off giving myself extra time to make sure I found the place ok and got somewhere to park. As soon as I got out of the car the nerves started to kick in. I went through to reception and was then directed to where the interviews were taking place. There were a lot of other people there which I was expecting. I had to fill out lots of details and forms before being shown to the interview room.
I walked into the room feeling a bit nervous but nothing out of the ordinary. As soon as I was asked questions I just blanked and I found that I was repeating myself a lot. Overall I don’t think it went too well and I don’t expect to hear back from them any time soon. My mind just went completely blank and I didn’t really know what to say or how to answer the questions I was being asked.
So for now it’s back to the drawing board to see what other career opportunities are out there. The hunt for employment continues.
Anybody got any interview advice for me?
